Cowal & Bute, Helensburgh and Loch Lomond FEI: Trees Past and Present 1 2005 Project Report
Created by FEI Admin Scotland | Published 12.07.11
A ‘hands on’ project promoting learning about sustainable woodland management, green woodworking, and the benefits of real world learning. A team of qualified green woodworkers delivers the Trees Past & Present Travelling Workshop as a hands-on green woodworking experience for Primary Schools (Nursery/P1-7) and learning about sustainable timber, to which was added an introductory talk looking at the language and history of green woodworking, and their role in & benefits from sustaining local woodlands and enhancing biodiversity today. The programme was adjusted, first to meet the requirements of the workshop’s success, and also to match the range of age, ability and capacity of the children.
