Our natural environment is the largest classroom we have in Wales!

The sustainable management of our natural resources is essential now and in the future as our environment comes under increasing pressure from a growing population, climate change and the need for energy production.

Training education providers about Natural Resource Management contributes to building a sustainable Wales. Supporting and empowering others to utilise their local environment provides opportunities for learners of all ages and abilities to learn in and about the environment.

Natural Resources Wales, the largest government funded environmental body in Wales, faciliatates and endorses the Outdoor Learning Training Network in Wales, as a partnership network that ensures quality assured teaching and development of accredited outdoor learning courses.
Network members deliver high quality training on a variety of natural resource management themes and topics, highlighting the need to sustainably manage our natural resources now and in the future.

Pathways to accredited training in the environmental sector are available. Examples of this include Forest School, Coastal School and Outdoor Learning.
